After an educational journey through our Solar System, learning through texts, using WebQuests and watching videos, each student researched and designed a poster about one of the eight planets. The students' posters included various information and interesting facts about planets, including how they got their name, how many moons they have, and how long their days are. These posters were hung up around the classroom and the students did a "Gallery Walk"--where they walked around the classroom, gathering important information about all of the planets in the Solar System. I even played Classical Art Gallery music as they walked about the room. The students were thoroughly engaged and this Gallery Walk activity will surely help them to review their notes and be prepared for the upcoming Solar System exam next week!
